Dehu is birth place of Saint poet Tukaram(Maharaj) and Situated on the bank of river Indrayani. Tukaram is the most revered ancient poet in Maharashtra and his work ‘Abhang Gatha’ has been considered as the one of the greatest literary work in Maratha.

Dehu Temple , was constructed by his younger son Narayanbaba in 1723.A rock famed due to Tukaram’s 13 day fast in standing and a garden in the dedicated to the memory of his wife.
